Kate was a pioneer in cable television, winning Ace Awards for the Vital Link series on family issues backing the early 80's. She founded Burkewood in 1985 to serve corporate and agency clients.
At Burkewood she has focused mostly on programming for families. She is the producer of the pre-K real-life exploration series, Go Babies® Alphabet Road™. The pilot program, F is for Farm (Do You Know Where Milk Comes From?) won a prestigious Parents' Choice Award.
Kate serve as a producer of the Jawed Wassel feature film, FireDancer, the first Afghan film presented to the Academy, and as associate producer of Return to Afghanistan, the Vida Kadem documentary, completed in 2007.
She is an active member of New York Women in Film and Television and the New Jersey Women's Forum.
